Information on mental health services in Croydon
Mind in Croydon is embarking on a whole new area of activity with its documentary film club based at the Fairfield Club. We were delighted recently to hear that we have been awarded a £3,000 grant from Film London to really get the project (which we have been piloting among clients) off the ground. The group will be sampling a wide variety of films and techniques and, to enable them to manage the project recently attended an excellent 'Film Society - How to Set up Your Own Film Screenings' event at the BFI. When we heard that we had also been awarded a grant in kind by Croydon Council to further the project, including use of the David Lean Cinema we knew that we had a truly winning project. The group is attracting clients of all ages and ethnicities who are all really enthusiastic about this new project.
