Information on mental health services in Croydon
The Quality Performance Mark (QPM) is awarded by Action for Advocacy. Established in 2001, A4A work in England and Wales. They have built a reputation as the leading authority on the development of effective advocacy services for vulnerable and disempowered people. The QPM is the only national advocacy specific quality assessment system which applies to all forms of one to one advocacy – the quality mark began in 2008
The award will be revisited in three years time, (similar to our Investors in People award), Action for Advocacy will check that we are still maintaining the high standards of service and that the staff are sharing innovative practice and maintaining good working relationships other the local statutory organisations as well as South London and Maudsley NHS Trust within which advocacy provides a free, independent and confidential IMHA and generic service.
There are currently about 47 organisations who have achieved the award and this is a huge achievement for Mind in Croydon because the award is given to all types of advocacy services, not just mental health so we have done particularly well to get it.
