Information on mental health services in Croydon
Our new Carers’ Support Service is set to become the hub in Croydon for carers of those with mental health problems. You will organise weekly support meetings for Carers arranging speakers and topics for discussion. You will also act as a central information point for them at other times helping them: to liaise with other agenices; to use our information technology suite; provide informal counselling and generally support and enable them in their role as carers. You will also recruit and manage a small team of volunteers who will set up carers’ support groups elsewhere in the borough with a view to these becoming self-supporting. You will do all your own paperwork and provide statistics for monitoring purposes. You will have six months’ experience in a similar environment, be an excellent organiser and a terrific communicator.
