Information on mental health services in Croydon
The arrival of the Family Navigator Project at Mind in Croydon has brought about a two and a half year 'Family Navigator' post, funded by the Big Lotto.
The project is spread across the following host organisations: Off the Record, Croydon Mencap, Disability Croydon, Homestart Croydon, Croydon Drop in and Mind in Croydon.
Family Navigators (FN) help families to make independent choices that are good for their families. Family Navigators will each work with 50 families (300 in total) playing an advocacy role and helping families to navigate the maze of services and support.
Our Family Navigator has just joined the Advocacy team and will be taking referrals from CRISS, Croydon CMHTs and other voluntary sector organizations, as well as self referrals from families who wish to access Family Navigator support. To qualify for support, families must be facing mental health issues and their eldest child must be aged between 5 to 10 years.
