Our New Benefits Helpline can Help with advice about Benefit Changes
Many people might be concerned about news reports of changes to the benefit system and it is likely that many people in Croydon will be affected. There is however help out there and we have been discussing with others, including voluntary agencies, how we can assist. Just to summarise these changes there is to be:-
The Council or your Housing Association should have sent information to everybody who is affected. Every individual’s circumstances are different, so the best thing to do is seek individual advice which you can do via the Citizens Advice Bureau. Or, if you have a mental health problem, are aged between 18 and 65 and need help with your benefits you can get advice from Mind in Croydon’s new Benefit Helpline. Ring 0208 763 2037 – the Benefit Helpline is open Tuesday mornings 10am-1pm and Thursday afternoons from 2pm-5pm.
