Information on mental health services in Croydon
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of one of our founders and President, Norah Croft MBE. Norah passed away on the 11th October aged 98.
Norah’s generosity, kindness, foresight and dedication meant that Mind in Croydon was established and has developed to be the leading local mental health charity with a national and international reputation for excellence and innovation. Every day we make sure that people with mental health problems and their families get the support and help that they deserve. Moreover, the culture of care, collaboration and respect that Norah engendered is still central to the charity today.
A family funeral will be held in November and a memorial service will be held on Saturday March 29th 2014 at 11am at St.Mary’s Church Caterham to celebrate Norah’s life and a reception will be held at The Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon afterwards.
Her family has requested that, rather than sending flowers, donations should be made to Mind in Croydon. A JustGiving page for donations has been set up: www.justgiving.com/norahcroft.
