Carers Rights Day - 29th November

Carers Support Centre gears up for Carers Rights Day on Friday 29 November.

This year the theme for the national awareness day is ‘Rights, Advice, Support’ and the focus will be on ensuring that carers in Croydon understand their rights and can get access to good quality advice that can support them to care.

Carers are invited to come along on the day to the new Carers Support Centre 24 George Street, Croydon CR0 1PB, between 10:00am and 4:00pm to find out more about the support that is available to them.

Then, the following week, the Carers Support Centre will be offering drop-in sessions run by Mind in Croydon and other local organisations (Carers’ Information Service, CNCA Telephone Befriending Project, Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK Croydon, Parents in Partnership, Family Lives, Rethink, Young Carers Project, Disabled Parents and Carers Together, Croydon Council’s Welfare Rights Team, London Disability Debt Service) on particular topics relating to the theme of ‘Rights, Advice, Support’.

The Carers Café will be open all week and useful information packs, plus details of our exciting new Carers Card scheme will be available.

Carers are more than welcome to come to any session they feel would be helpful.
