Soft Furnishings
The Soft Furnishings Service has developed over the past few years from being an innovative idea and bare walls, into a room which hosts an array of display work and happy clients.
The training room has developed utilising quality donated furniture and machines, it is rewarding to see this new service beginning to thrive. Members and Public alike can be taught everything from the basics of how to thread a needle in a sewing machine, to how to make a cushion cover and curtains. In learning there is also an emphasis on colour and design.
Courses
We are not currently running any group courses, however, we are offering one to one training, please contact Pam for further details.
Dress Making
We are now running dress making sessions on Tuesday mornings with guest trainer, Penny Loveday. Please contact us for more details.

A map of where we are will be supplied and we are well placed for trains and buses.
Fees per 2 hour session will vary according to the course. A non-refundable deposit of £10 required. All monies received from the public will be used to buy more equipment and to pay visiting trainers. Mind in Croydon reserves the right to alter dates, however if Mind in Croydon have to cancel the course a full refund of monies received will be repaid.
Using our sewing room at other times
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are available for more flexible teaching periods when learners can book hourly to suit their needs. Cost on application. Unlike a college where training is divided into terms our training room is available all the year round.
