Online Auction Volunteer Required
The opportunityWe are looking to recruit a small team of volunteers to help run our eBay sales operation. This is an exciting project to get involved with and an opportunity to develop good grounding in business and marketing skills.
The role will involve:
- Researching items on eBay - looking up similar items to gauge the auction starting price and the best categories to list the items in for maximum exposure.
- Photographing items to be listed - buyers need to see clearly what they are bidding on (inc. markings, damage etc).
- Estimating postage & packaging costs - prospective buyers will want to know the cost of postage and packing if they win the item.
- We are also looking for one full-time or two part-time volunteers with a good understanding of the internet and e-commerce to help lead the eBay operation. You will be working alongside the shop manager to set up and coordinate a functional system for sorting and preparing stock that is to be sold online. As a team leader you will need to be clear about which items are ready to list, which are currently listed and which are ready to post to the buyer (winning bidder).
We are also looking for volunteers with expertise in certain types of items to help identify valuable goods that can be sold online.
Times you can volunteer:
Monday - Saturday: Morning or Afternoon.
If you are interested, please contact Peter 020 8253 8207 or the Shop Managers 020 8771 5950.
