Wellbeing in the workplace

Are you concerned about the wellbeing of your workforce?

Have you noticed a decrease in productivity?

If your answer is yes to the above then it’s likely some of your employees are presenting themselves at work whilst unwell. This is known as presenteeism or sickness presence and accounts for 35 workdays lost per worker per year in the UK .  *https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20210604-why-presenteeism-always-wins-out-over-productivity

By introducing wellbeing initiatives into the workplace, not only can this improve the wellbeing and morale of staff, in turn, it can improve productivity and reduce staff turnover. We can offer Mental Health First Aid training and also if it might better suit your needs, our unique specially designed bespoke courses. There are many reasons why employers should invest in the mental health of their staff. Please click here for more information.

10 Reasons For Employers To Invest In Staff Mental Health

Why Mental Health First Aid?

Poor mental health costs UK employers up to £56 billion a year, an increase of 25% compared to 2019, based on a new Deloitte study. Their analysis also reveals that employers who invest in mental health support of their workforce can make significant gains with an average £5 return for every £1 spent on wellbeing support. Mental health and employers: the case for investment – pandemic and beyond | Deloitte UK

MHFA training has become an internationally recognised training programme accredited by The Royal Society of Public Health and acknowledged on the UK Social Enterprise Roll of Honour 2020 for social impact supporting the mental health of the nation during the pandemic.  It has developed to become the certified ‘go to’ mental health training for employers and beyond.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental health first aid is the initial help you would give someone developing a mental health issue, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health issue, or in a mental health crisis. As a certified mental health first aider you will know how to identify, approach and assist someone until they receive appropriate professional treatment, or the crisis is resolved.
