Thank you so much for all the help, support and kindness you have shown me. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Mind and have learnt so much as a trainee.
We thank all our volunteers for their valuable contribution to Mind in Croydon. Please note that all our volunteers (including volunteer/trainees) are subject to versions of the following documents which will be amended to reflect the needs of our different projects. Please note, the relationship between volunteers and Mind in Croydon is concerned with training/volunteering, not with employment. Volunteers including trainee/volunteers are undertaking work and complying with instructions as a trainee/volunteer, not as an employee. The underlying purpose of any agreement between yourself and Mind in Croydon is not to establish a relationship of an employer and employee but to enable you to acquire certain skills and experience (as a trainee) or to volunteer with the organisation.
If you require any clarification of the above, please contact the Human Resources Manager at 26 Pampisford Road, Purley, CR8 2NE (020 8668 2210) for further details.

While changes to the service are in place due to COVID-19 the buddy role has changed slightly.
We are now looking for volunteers to make weekly phone calls to people who would usually be accessing the groups but are currently isolated while social distancing is in place.
The phone calls will have a focus on supporting the service user to take positive actions through out the week to remain physically and mentally well.
Please complete the application form below if you are interested in this opportunity.
As part of Active Minds we are recruiting a team of volunteers who understand how sport and physical activity improves our mental and physical health. You’ll be able to support people with mental health problems so they can develop their own passion for sport.
You’ll need to be able to establish good relationships with people from different backgrounds and have some understanding of mental health.
We’ll support and train you as one of our volunteer Buddies, which could be the first step of a new career in sport mentoring or peer support.
To apply please contact 020 8253 8205 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Active Minds – Support Service Users in Using Video Calls
We are also looking for people to provide brief support to service users in accessing the online Zoom sessions we are currently running. Often people do not have the confidence to access Zoom on line, we have found providing one or two one to one sessions before accessing a group can really build confidence.
You don’t need to be a zoom wizard yourself, basic knowledge is helpful but it is more the confidence and willingness to try the various platforms that is useful.
If you are interested please email email@example.com
Please do send in applications as we regularly recruit and will hold your application form on file ready for these times.
You will find more information about the service by clicking here.
Please send application forms marked for the attention of the Counselling Service Manager, Mind in Croydon, 26 Pampisford Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2NE.
