Would you like to lead Mind in Croydon’s counselling service into the next phase of its development? This is an exciting time for us. Our latest innovative Hoarding Project has attracted national interest and was recently featured on BBC’s News At Ten. As well as our one to one work, we run popular anger control training and anxiety groups. We are looking for a new Counselling Manager to run our BACP accredited service. We also have a Carers’ Counselling Service. As well as the Manager there are 2 Administrators, 3 part-time Counsellors and approximately 32 volunteer counsellors. You will give general managerial support to the staff team, provide management (but not clinical) supervision to volunteers and take the service forward at an exciting time when Mind in Croydon is developing and expanding. You will lead the service into new areas which respond to client needs and reflect an innovative organisation during a time of growth. You will have BACP accreditation, be UKCP registered, or equivalent. This is a permanent position.
Mind in Croydon has just celebrated its 50th birthday and provides a wide range of projects including a Social Networking Service, a Welfare Benefits Advice Service, Advocacy Service, Employment Service and an Information Service. We employ approximately 40 staff and have won many awards for our work.
