Mindline Trans+ Crowdfunder
Mindline Trans+ is a joint service delivered by Mind in Bristol and Mind in Somerset.
Trans and non-binary people are particularly vulnerable to developing mental health problems due to societal stigma and a lack of access to focused services.
This is a vital service for people in society who are at a greater risk of hate crime and of experiencing mental health problems. A transgender mental health study showed that 88% of transgender people had experienced depression and 84% had thought of ending their life.
They need your help to extend their UK Wide service from 2 to 3 nights a week. This will help them to reach people in hard to reach areas. Part of the funding will help the training and support of call handlers by staff. Another expense they anticipate this funding will cover is the publicity of the service in rural areas and the coordination this will involve.

Charity Fundraiser – Monk Lakes 3, Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2020- in support of Mind in Croydon
Though this event is really targeted at the angling members, they are happy for anyone to take part or attend the event but they do need to know the numbers in advance. If anyone wishes to have a go at fishing they will need to bring their own equipment as due to Covid-19 equipment cannot be shared. On the actual day there will be people taking part in a competition (heaviest catch) as well as pleasure anglers on the day, known as coarse fishing.
For anyone attending the cost is £10 for a day ticket and you will also need a fishing license which is £6.00 (see link below) per rod! In the afternoon there will be a raffle as they have been donated loads of prizes!
The event is 10am to 3pm and draw time is 8am.
If anyone would be willing to take pictures on the day, it would be appreciated.
Event address: Monk Lakes, Staplehurst Road, Marden, Kent, TN12 9BS
If you are interested in taking part please contact John on 020 8654 3308
