It’s Carers Week!

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
The theme for Carers Week 2026 is Building Carer Friendly Communities. Aimed to highlight the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere. This campaign is being brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations taking action to ensure more communities understand, recognise, and empower carers.
Our Carers Support Service were please to attend the ‘Carers information event’ at Braithwaite Hall this week. Where we had the opportunity to provide information and show case the services we offer. We met local elected members of Croydon Council who were pleased to see the services we have on offer.
If you or someone you know is living in Croydon, 16 years or above and looking after someone with a mental health problem then you can access support through our service. Carers can be relatives, partners, friends or neighbours.
