MiC’s New Community Mental Health Hub

Mind in Croydon will be creating a new Community Mental Health Hub as part of its move to a new location, meaning more people than ever can access their services.

The mental health charity will be moving out of its location in Purley and into one of its other locations in South Croydon at the end of 2025. As part of that move, the original building will be returned to Croydon Council as part of their Asset Disposal programme.

The building in South Croydon, called Orchard House, will continue to house:
  • Active Minds
  • Advocacy
  • Welfare Benefits Advice
But will be joined by our Counselling Service. Mind in Croydon will be investing into the building to create a bespoke Counselling Hub offering rooms for one-to-one counselling as well as groups.
Emma Turner, CEO of Mind in Croydon, said:

“We’re really excited about this move and what it means for the people of Croydon who need our support. Being located in South Croydon, near great transport links means we are easier to access and will have much more space to deliver the mental health services that people need.
We are grateful to Croydon Council, and particularly the Executive Mayor of Croydon, for their support.”

The new building is on Purley Road, close to the bus station on Brighton Road and a short walk from Purley Oaks and South Croydon train station.

The move is scheduled to take place in November/ December 2025, and until that time our counselling service will remain open as usual at Mind in Croydon’s current location at 26 Pampisford Road in Purley.
