Mind in Croydon Welcomes Five New Trustees to Strengthen Governance and Drive Local Mental Health Support

Mind in Croydon is delighted to announce the appointment of five new trustees to its Board. These appointments bring a range of professional expertise and lived experience, reinforcing the charity’s commitment to strong, inclusive governance and ensuring the voices of the community remain at the heart of its work.

New trustees appointed:

  • Anisha Shah – With over 20 years of experience in the UK Life insurance industry, Anisha is a qualified actuary with extensive expertise in financial management, risk, governance, and strategic decision-making. She has successfully led major initiatives in regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and team leadership, driving impactful solutions and fostering growth.
  • David Leach – An accomplished executive with over 25 years of leadership experience spanning the construction, finance, and outsourcing sectors. He has successfully led multiple company sales, following periods of sustainable, high-margin growth, often collaborating with Private Equity partners.
  • Dionysis Livanis – A Creative Director and Brand Consultant with over 20 years of experience leading strategic and design projects across the charity, healthcare, and cultural sectors. He has worked with organisations including The Air Ambulance Service, the Institute of Physics, and the Care Quality Commission to help shape impactful campaigns and strengthen public engagement.
  • Suzanne Abrahart – Began her career as a property lawyer before transitioning into the technology sector. She is currently the CEO Business Manager for the UK’s oldest private bank. She also serves as the chair of the disability network, where she has gained a deep understanding of the intersectionality between disability and mental health
  • Tom Bucher – Has worked in the charity sector for over a decade, managing leadership and training programmes in children’s social work, adult mental health and the anti-bullying sector. Most recently, he has headed up network development at Kinship, delivering a national DfE contract focused on delivering quality training, peer support and advice to all kinship families in England.

These new appointments come at a time of increased demand for local mental health services, and they will play a vital role in supporting the strategic development and accountability of Mind in Croydon’s work.
