Positive Feedback Received from BACP
During the pandemic the Counselling Service made many changes in how the service operated including moving to telephone and online counselling and providing extra training for counsellors who were used to working in a face-to-face environment.
The team recently completed their re-application to the BACP for their Accreditation renewal. This application was successful and the Counselling Service is now accredited for a further 5 years.
The BACP feedback received regarding Coronavirus contingency planning for accredited services stated:
“We can see from this that you have put a great deal of thought and effort into your response to the Covid-19 crisis and have ensured staff have received appropriate training and support”
The Counselling Team were extremely pleased to receive this feedback particularly with the changes needing to be made very promptly during the pandemic and in also further achieving re-accreditation status.
