South East and South West London Integrated Care Board

We were joined by Sir Richard Douglas, Chair and Andrew Bland Chief Executive of South East and South West London ICB alongside Rachel Flagg (Programme Director One Croydon Alliance, Croydon Place), Ranjeet Kaile (Executive Director of Communications and Engagement), Jen Nolan (Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement) and Jo Austin (Deputy Head of Community Engagement and Communications) yesterday at our Health and Wellbeing Service, an innovative support service in the heart of Croydon community. Since 2022 the service has delivered over 24,174 instances of support to 10,000 people. The service provides an alternative to GP surgeries and is often complimenting statutory services to avoid people being a risk of homelessness and requiring inpatient care at the point of crisis.

This work is delivered in partnership with Croydon BME Forum and colleagues from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Enabling our residents to walk in and speak to a member of staff about the issues which are impacting their lives; from support with accessing quality benefits advice, to signposting to agencies best placed to help as well as having crisis support workers embedded in the service.

Bold commissioning, effective high-quality, award-winning service delivery – harnessing the power of partnerships to deliver outcomes from residents.
